Well, Fall semester 2002 started at Auburn on Monday the 19th. That means Anime club is getting e-mails (very few actually) as more and more freshmen find the website, and they all want to join. Which is great. Y'see the real trick to joining Auburn's Anime Club is finding us. You have to get in direct contact with one of us to find your way to the meetings. Heh heh. Big welcome to the two new kids who managed to show up Tuesday. Welcome Trunks(Jeren) and George. I hope we didn't scare you off. We need the new minions to replace the ones who graduated. ^_~ Now some of my best Adventures in AU comics come from club meetings. Being club secretary means I take down quotes during club. And the quotes make great material for comics. ^_^ So here's an Anime Club comic using quotes from last night. Anyway, classes look tough this semester, so wish me luck. Ok. Well, class started this week. Yay. Can you tell I'm not too thrilled about this? I was doing just fine this summer working in the mornings then lazing around the rest of the time. Then classes had to start. Early mornings--how I hate them. *sigh* At least I'm back in Auburn now and (nearly) completely moved in. To go along with the whole school/moving in things are my printer problems. I was all excited to get my parent's Deskjet (which is better than the printer I had previously by far) when they got some printer/copier/scanner thing. Anyway, I was really excited and, after a while, finally found the time to hook the thing up. I went to put in the software when it told me I didn't have enough space, which is a bunch of crap. I cleared up more space anyway and retried the thing. It still didn't work. I tried a different approach and that wouldn't work either! I shut the computer down and restarted it and it still didn't work! After a several times doing this, I gave up. It was 2:00am. I had an early class in the morning. I had not been able to print out my syllabi. I was NOT happy. To top it all off, I got home from classes the next day and, lo and behold, the thing decides to work! I was NOT happy. Relieved, but NOT happy. *sigh* Why me? Anyway! One of the highlights of the week was that 2 new guys showed up at anime club!!! Yay!!! George and Trunks, if you're reading this, you need to come back! Don't let the random acts of anime club-ness scare you off (I don't think it would help if I told you that Tuesday night's revelry [I had a better word, I swear!] was a bit under par, so I won't ) Hope to see you next Tuesday! Ahh, the quotes book. Scary, scary thing. Interesting though. While I am happy to be starting back classes tonight (I actually miss school), 'tis a bittersweet thing. As of tonight, all of my evenings except Friday will be taken by classes, thus my missing Anime. :( *Sniffle* Having to work during the day has its down points, though I love my job enough not to quit. There's also the whole income thing... We had an interesting night the other night. While working a bit on the new storyline, we acquired a bit of an audience. Before too long there were mock-duels with staves out in the parking lot, some Aikido practice inside, piggyback rides through said parking lot on Wolfie's back and lots and lots of general fun/goofing off. Ayya, I wish I had had a camera. One random guy did and took a few pics-- I hope to get copies. Perhaps I can convince Lycorne to put them up? ;) I'll miss evenings like that too this semester.
